HR and Operations Manager

The HR and Operations Manager delivers a range of operational and advisory services which enable WRP to attract, develop and retain outstanding staff who are committed to the achievement of excellence and to support the values of WRP. The position is to ensure that all operational aspects of the business are running smoothly and effectively and, in collaboration with the CEO and Directors, to ensure that services are provided on a cost-effective basis and in accordance with relevant business plans and strategies.

 

The Role

The HR and Operations Manager is responsible to the CEO of WRP and has accountability for the provision of all operational management activities at WRP. This role covers:

  • Human Resources
  • Marketing
  • Administration
  • Communications
  • Public Relations
  • Policy development and implementation (including WHS)

In addition to direct oversight of these functions, the HR and Operations Manager will also be responsible for providing day to day Human Resource support to all Directors and Lawyers, to ensure that their objectives are being met. This includes support on:

  • Staff management issues
  • Management guidance and advice on structure, delegations, responsibilities, ownership, empowerment of team members
  • Driving the implementation of HR Strategies and business plans
  • Responding to escalated issues ensuring appropriate resolution is reached as necessary
  • Oversight of staff appraisal process
  • Drive Learning and Development opportunities for all staff

 

Requirements

  • Qualifications in HRM
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist role
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A positive, empathetic, helpful approach and be able to work within a confidential environment
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional client service and organisation skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative and ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and go above and beyond to produce quality outcomes
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to ‘think fast on your feet’ and problem-solve
  • High degree of professionalism and confidence
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office and other software
