Law Clerk, 6-month clerkship
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our law firm on a 6-month clerkship.
Typical Work Activities:
- Legal research.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Reporting and engaging directly with senior practitioners.
- Assisting with commercial transactions.
- Attending mediations, conciliations and court proceedings.
- Filing documents with registries including the Land Titles Office SA and Court Registries.
- Legal administrative duties and responsibilities.

- Currently in your penultimate or final year of a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree.

Senior Conveyancer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Conveyancer to join our law firm on a permanent, full time employment contract.
Typical Work Activities:
- Opening and preparing new files in accordance with the firms file opening procedures, including creating the physical and/or electronic file in LEAP.
- Undertaking the full suite of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, from beginning to finish.
- Drafting correspondence, special conditions, contracts and vendor’s statements.
- Liaising with clients and other parties such as real estate agents, brokers, banks and developers in a professional and polite manner ensuring the firm’s brand is promoted in a positive way and to maintain strong relationships with referrers.
- Understanding of stamp duty exemptions/concessions and foreign investment review board requirements an advantage.
- Preparing invoices (including management of invoices sent to clients).
Key Attributes:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of LEAP, DocuSign, PEXA or similar eConveyancing program
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. (Essential).
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills. (Essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to keep track of critical dates, identify tasks which need to be done, establish priorities and schedule appointments and settlements and ensure that follow up systems are in place.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
- Prompt, accurate production and turnaround of work.

Tax/Commercial Associate
Position Overview
This role is integral in our fast-growing tax and commercial practice. You will assist in servicing our ever-burgeoning client base (including small to medium enterprises, large family groups, high-net wealth individuals, and large corporates) across both the tax advisory and commercial streams of our practice.
You will also help deliver commercially driven outcomes and solutions while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in your legal career.
Typical Work Activities:
- Advising clients on (and implementing) tax-efficient solutions, optimal holding structures (for passive and trading assets), and structure/restructuring options.
- Advising on a range of taxation and revenue issues at the State and Federal level – in particular, capital gains tax (CGT), goods and services tax (GST), and trust taxation.
- Advising on, and drafting documents to effect, commercial transactions including business and asset sales, mergers, and joint ventures.
- Drafting and advising on commercial contracts, agreements, and deeds.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to provide guidance to clients on various legal matters.

Intellectual Property Senior Associate
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and dynamic Intellectual Property Senior Associate to join our rapidly growing national and international IP practice.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law and will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and strategic guidance to our diverse clientele.
Typical Work Activities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions to clients on intellectual property matters.
- Intellectual property and technology agreements, including commercialisation, research, royalty and licensing agreements, and website/software/application terms and conditions.
- Filing, managing and prosecuting trade mark applications (including oppositions, disputes, sales and licensing).
- Advice relating to privacy, financial services licensing, and competition and consumer law, and online content regulation.
- General corporate and commercial advice, including, shareholders agreements, employee share schemes, capital raisings, sales and acquisitions, contractor/employment agreements and NDAs.
Key Attributes:
- Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
- Strong experience in drafting IP-related documents such as license agreements and cease and desist letters.
- Strong experience in IP disputes.
