    • Strong understanding and/or interest of tax legislation, regulations, and case law.

    • Provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions to clients on intellectual property matters.
    • Negotiate and draft Intellectual property and technology agreements, including commercialisation, research, royalty and licensing agreements, and website/software/application terms and conditions.
    • File, manage and prosecute trade mark applications (including oppositions, disputes, sales and licensing).
    • Provide advice relating to privacy, financial services licensing, and competition and consumer law, and online content regulation.
    • Negotiate and draft general corporate and commercial advice and documentation, including, shareholders agreements, employee share schemes, capital raisings, sales and acquisitions, contractor/employment agreements and NDAs.

  • Typical Work Activities:

    • Opening and preparing new files in accordance with the firms file opening procedures, including creating the physical and/or electronic file in LEAP.
    • Undertaking the full suite of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, from beginning to finish.
    • Drafting correspondence, special conditions, contracts and vendor’s statements.
    • Liaising with clients and other parties such as real estate agents, brokers, banks and developers in a professional and polite manner ensuring the firm’s brand is promoted in a positive way and to maintain strong relationships with referrers.
    • Understanding of stamp duty exemptions/concessions and foreign investment review board requirements an advantage.
    • Preparing invoices (including management of invoices sent to clients).
